Gone are the days of “occupied” sliders on bathroom doors or “meeting in progress” signs on conference rooms. With this new kid on the block, the status of the room is displayed on the door handle itself, using a built-in light that glows a brilliant red or green. Unfortunately, we probably won’t be seeing the Lighting Handle in service station or fast-food restrooms anytime soon, since it carries a hefty $440 price tag.
