Free fonts have gone Web 2.0. There are plenty of freeware font sites out there, and I have visited most of them. They are usually bulky, full of ads and popups, and hard to browse. Enter betterfonts.com – all annoyances have been completely done away with. What I like about the site:
- the ads are almost unnoticeable
- the fonts are incredibly easy to browse
- you can browse alphabetically or by category
- you can enter your own preview text to view on the fly for any font
- it’s incredibly fast
This one’s definitely a keeper. (I share only the best!)
