Here’s hoping all of you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day. I know I did. Not only was it a very romantic evening for my wife and I (chick flick included), but it also proved to be a time of scientific discovery.
We are not wine drinkers, so we ended up dusting off our nice wine glasses to fill them with that sublymonal wonder itself, Sprite. Actually, it was a cheap knock-off of Sprite. Anywho, to spice things up a bit, I decided to grab some SweeTart hearts that were sitting in a bowl nearby and drop a couple into my drink. I figured anything would help. To my surprise, they started sparkling up my Sprite wonderfully. The bubbles just kept coming and a constant, joyful fizzing sound emitted from my glass. Not only that, but they added a pleasant kick to its flavor, not to mention a nice treat at the bottom of the glass.
Now, this is not to be confused with the famous Mentos and Diet Coke experiments shown below. I guarantee the Sprite and SweeTarts will not elicit the same reaction.
