An article on Gizmodo portrays these abominable shades as if they’re a real product. Usually Gizmodo is a reputable site, but they needed to take a closer look at this photoshop spoof before they reported it as news. Take a close look at the tools: a Q-tip? A straw? A paintbrush? Give me a break. If nothing else, all of those tools are not going to fit in sunglass arms that are 1/4 inch thick. But adding disposable items pushes it over the top. And, apparently, this spoof has fooled other sites as well, such as Coolest Gadgets.

Now, taking it for what it is (a very obvious spoof), it is a very nicely done and creative use of Photoshop. Props to the person who created it and fooled so many people. If nothing else, I was able to snicker to myself at the absurdity of the idea.
