This is good news for all of you gamers out there. What’s your game of choice? Unreal Tournament? Halo? <insert game name here>? Well, as long as you like to play action games, you’re in luck.
In an article to be published in Psychological Science, they have shown that people who played action video games for a few hours a day over the course of a month improved by about 20 percent in their ability to identify letters presented in clutter—a visual acuity test similar to ones used in regular ophthalmology clinics.
Visual acuity is good and all, but it’s really too bad video games can’t improve my nearsightedness and astigmatism. If they did, I would have 20/20 vision by now.
